Whyte is proud to introduce its latest electric mountain bikes. By combining Whyte's geometry, handling and performance characteristics with the new powerful, compact and lightweight 4th generation Bosch system, Whyte has achieved the previously impossible:
• Developed a frame geometry based on the proven OTO (Optimised Trail Offset) system specifically designed for electric mountain bikes • Integrated the new Bosch Gen4 system into the frame and achieved a bike with a very low centre of gravity • State-of-the-art suspension kinematics based on dampers in the metric system (Fox and RockShox), dedicated to electric-assist bikes • Low inertia on descents, yawing and rolling means exceptional manoeuvrability, resulting in confident and efficient handling • The lightweight, compact motor with undetectable crank resistance sets a new standard for electric mountain bike motors. At only 2.9 kg in weight and with up to 85 Nm of torque, it is 48% smaller than its predecessor (Bosch Gen3) • Tubular battery 625Wh – with optional 6A fast charger (3.7 hours to full charge) • The drive unit, battery and control are fully integrated into the suspension structure • The battery is inserted from the bottom of the angled lower tube and takes literally 2-3 minutes. • Future solutions for a larger battery (space in the frame for a larger battery) • Maximum structural integrity and torsional stiffness guaranteed, thanks to uniform bottom tube design (manufactured in 18 processes) • Efficient use of materials – maximum torsional stiffness of lightweight, 2.7 mm thick hydroformed tube • Motor inserted from the side and protected by a 6 mm aluminium layer – one of the few such secure and safe solutions on the market • Battery removal is independent of the drive unit • New internal cable routing (brake, seat pillar and electrical harness)
The advanced eMTB mode provides even better control on the trail, without having to change riding modes. The engine responds much more sensitively to the rider's effort, especially in low gears, enabling extremely responsive starts.
Extraordinary drive sensitivity thanks to a multi-sensor concept that takes more than 1,000 measurements per second. This gives the drive unit an extremely sensitive response.

Impressive performance on the trail! Extended Boost is an unrivalled feature that allows you to negotiate exposed roots, steps and stones with ease, even uphill. This feature allows you to manoeuvre with greater agility and ease even on the most technically demanding trails.
More powerful drive than ever before. The increased torque of up to 85 Nm has a noticeable effect on driving behaviour. The motor accelerates faster, especially at low pedal frequency (low cadence) and makes it much easier to start uphill. More power is available to the cyclist at all times.
Developed for extreme loads. The Bosch drive unit is extremely powerful and, thanks to a completely maintenance-free 16-pin BLDC electric motor with the latest rod winding, has excellent thermal stability. This ensures consistent performance even under continuous load.

A riding experience that sets the benchmark. From the 2021 model year, the Performance Line CX delivers even more fun on the trail – all thanks to further software development and a maximum torque of 85 Nm. The increased torque provides more performance, supporting you with even more power. In eMTB and Turbo mode, this leads to much faster acceleration and makes starting uphill much easier. Thanks to the wider cadence range, unpredictable driving situations can be managed even more effectively - for example when changing gears late or accelerating through sharp bends. The ride remains smooth and shock-free.
TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL
A progressive riding mode for every occasion. The advanced eMTB mode ensures that riders are well prepared for any situation on the trail. New sensor and motor control features provide a much wider range of dynamic and natural support. Depending on the pedal pressure, the progressive motor support adapts perfectly to the riding conditions. Improved eMTB mode control ensures optimum traction control in all gears and enables organic handling („power on demand”). Starting behaviour is much softer and more responsive - especially in low gears. Thanks to the increased torque, the drive unit handles an even wider range of cadences.
Extended Boost is an unrivalled feature that makes it easier to negotiate exposed roots, steps and stones on the trail, even uphill. The eMTB can be manoeuvred with much greater agility and ease on technical sections. Exceptional dynamics mean that obstacles can be overcome with ease by pressing the pedal with sufficient force. The pedals hardly ever jam. A new, innovative function in eMTB mode can be controlled for optimum effect in all situations. If the front wheel is already on the step, a light press of the pedal is all it takes to give a firm „kick”. This takes pedal management to a whole new level.
